My campaign is powered by people, not AIPAC, not super PACs, health insurance PACs, and certainly not corporate PACs like big oil and big pharma. Our elections and our politicians shouldn’t be bought and paid for. That’s why I’ve rejected big PAC money, AIPAC money, and that’s why I’ve created my Anti-Corruption Bill of Rights.
Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and its allies are interested in one thing: getting richer on the backs of working families. Together, let’s win back the House and put an end to this blatant and rampant corruption. When I’m elected to Congress, I will fight for my:
Anti-Corruption Bill of Rights
- Overturn Citizens United and Buckley v. Valeo
- Bar members of Congress and the Administration from trading stocks
- Ban Super PACS
- Require the President and close family members to divest all business assets and place the value of those assets in a blind trust, and require them to be covered by the same federal conflict-of-interest laws that apply to all federal employees.
- Amend the Constitution to ban preemptive pardons and create a pardon board that includes the President, the Speaker of the House, and the Chief Justice of the United States. In addition, include a provision in this amendment that bars the president from issuing pardons to family and close advisors.
- Bar lobbyists and corporations from directly or indirectly fundraising for candidates at the federal level, and prevent corporations from contributing or donating to government events or functions
- Close the congressional “revolving door” between members of Congress, their top aides, and powerful lobbying firms
- Create legislation to require disclosure of campaign donations by corporations and PACS
- Create an effective and fully funded public financing system for political campaigns
- Pass legislation clarifying that the Emoluments Clause forbids the President from personally profiting from private or public business dealings with foreign governments
