Supporting Our Most Experienced Citizens
Our seniors are the longest-serving taxpayers in the state, we need to make sure that they are able to retire right here in Minnesota. As a member of city government, I worked to open the Heritage Center to expand senior services in Lakeville. In 2019, after six years of work, expanding Metro Mobility to Lakeville, providing affordable transportation that enables seniors to live comfortable, dignified lives.
I co-sponsored bipartisan legislation to make Social Security tax-exempt, putting more money in the pockets of seniors. I also consistently supported the efforts to reform elder care across the state to keep seniors safe.
