Supporting the Families that Feed Us All
Minnesota farmers feed the world, keep food prices low, and keep small towns vibrant. But too often, D.C. undercuts the good work of family farmers through tariffs, overregulation, and by cutting programs that families need to make a decent living. As a result, family farms suffer, and communities in Greater Minnesota lose the money and people they need to grow.
It is long past time to ensure every community in Minnesota and the country has access to the Internet and modern farming technology. We need to shift the power of tariff-setting in the government from the White House to Congress so that communities can have a say in policies that impact their businesses. We also need to expand connections between our agricultural producers and government programs like SNAP and meal programs that use the best products in the world to feed those who need it most. That’s how the government can work for family farms in CD2.
