The American Dream is for Everyone
Inflation, tariffs, and economic inequality are eroding the American Dream. From housing and health care to child care and groceries, everyday prices are out of control, and government services are too slow to help when people need them most. More and more Americans feel like they don’t have a fair shot at success.
Our tax code should promote fairness and opportunity for working people, small businesses, and family farms. That includes things like the permanent expansion of the Child Tax Credit and standing up to reckless tariff policy that hurts Minnesota farmers, construction workers, and tradespeople who make an honest living building houses and products we use every day. It means telling the richest Americans that they don’t get to live by a different set of rules than the rest of us.
I’m a union guy to the bone. There’s no better way to raise pay and benefits for working people than organizing and bargaining together. It’s about power, community, and knowing that someone’s always got your back. It’s also the only realistic way to match the collective power of massive corporations. Most people don’t understand that unions raise everybody’s pay, whether you’re in a union or not. So the work that union members do, they are doing for every person earning a paycheck in America.
